I hate men.
:D
Well.. I'll be fair. I hate teenaged men.
Lots of wonderful things happened today. Can you tell? First, Boris at work was an inconsiderate ass. I was working on getting cheese done so that I could spit chickens and clean two slicers for the night crew in time. But THEN, six spits had to get taken off. Alright, fine. I stop what I'm doing, and start on that because there are no chickens left out in the ovens and it's near the supper rush. BUT THEN. Customers start coming. That lovely sort of flow where I go to the counter, help a couple people, move back to what I was doing, get half a thing done, and then more customers come. What's Boris doing during this? Starting to slice turkey packages. The only other thing on the list for him to do is spit chickens (which he never did, might I add). And he even has the gall to say, "I don't want to slice anymore." WELL THEN FUCKING HELP ME, YOU BASTARD. GOD. I never did get to cleaning the slicers, or cleaning up after Jordan and Mark (whom ALSO left a GIANT mess after making pizzas). Which I feel bad for. But my loathing for Boris is currently deeper.
Later on, I'm online when a guy I haven't talked to in nearly a year comes online and randomly starts talking to me. Months ago I had vaugely mentioned that I wanted to talk to him on this forum we're both on, so he decides to answer that call now, or something. Anyway, so we're talking and he suddenly brings up the subject of this picture I had promised to draw him literally a year and a half ago. I admit that I kept putting it off, kept telling him that I'd get it done by this date, that I had so much of it done when I really only had skeleton sketches, and that I'd scan it and show the progress to him (but never actually got to it). I'm a bad commission artist; I know it and I readily admit it to him. But is that enough? NO. He goes on. Says that he doubts I even did any of it since I promised to show him progress scans but never did. Alright, fine. I tell him that I, admittedly, got next to nothing done but I did do something, though I wouldn't blame him if he chose not to believe me. I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry I never got it done. You'd think that'd end it, but NO. He GOES ON. Tells me I should try to fix my faults or something rather than sitting and waiting for them to fix themselves or ignoring them. Now, it's at this point I get pissed off enough to retort (which I almost never do to men, you know). I say I'd rather ignore. SOMEHOW (don't ask me how; he said it) that translates into me saying I'd rather ignore him. Wtf, right? So I basically say "I don't want to talk to anyone that's just going to bash me." Then he goes all "high and mighty" on me, saying that "If I want to stop ignoring him and talk, he'll be online". Now I'm thinking, 'you bastard', and lose it in as civilized a manner as I can manage. Essentially, I tell him, . "You know what? I don't need anyone to point out my faults for me because I already know them, but thanks anyway. So, as fun as this was, I'm leaving. C'ya." Then I blocked him. :3
I'm proud of myself for that.
But would you believe that that's not the end of it?
For a while now, I've kept Johnathon blocked on MSN because he annoys me. Our conversations generally go something like: "Hello." "Ello." "What're you up to?" "Not much.." "Ah... Why?" I swear, every stupid "why" he asks to everything I say makes me want to kill all living things within a 100-foot radius. But I unblocked him today to show him a Potter Puppet Pals video that was hillarious and I needed to show someone (nobody else was online). So we continue to talk for a bit with no stupid questions on his part, before he stars talking about the plug-in radio in the bakery at work. (Thus, the bakery doesn't have to listen to horrid Christmas music while the rest of the store, including the deli, does.) Then he asks me why I don't like Christmas (because apparently if you hate Christmas music, you hate Christmas or something) and I give him what I think Christmas has become; aka. material gain and seasonal advertising. So he starts DEBATING why I hate Christmas. Like, what the HELL man? You cannot argue my views on Christmas because they're my VIEWS. Needless to say, he lost in that discussion (like always; he's not exactly good at backing up his points with decent facts). But that's not all. Nono. He then starts to make fun of me for having to listen to Christmas music in the deli. Didn't get very far before I told him, "You're being rude and it's pissing me off." Jerk had enough common sense to apologise and 'head off for the night' after that.
I'm still seething.

WOO. Long time, no update. XD When was the last time I did this?
I screwed up my ankle this morning. D: Left the house to go to school and was walking on the lovely snowy deck when WOOSH. Bye-bye balance. Ker-thud. At least it's better now, and I can walk on it without too much pain. Still, I'll probably keep a tenser bandage on it for a bit. Boo at missing school, tho I would've been late anyway had I not stayed home.

Yeah. I'm a nerd, and for a while now I've wanted to make Sea Salt Ice Cream (from KH2, for all you non-nerds out there). Buut. Since I don't know how to make even regular ice cream and I figured that there are other nerds like me out there who have already gone a-testing, I searched for recipes.
AND I FOUND SOME. XDD <3333
So, for you nerds who also want to promote yourself to the next level of nerdliness and fandom, I'm gonna list recipes below. Mainly because I feel random tonight. XD
FEEL DA LOOVE.
1.
3/4 cup boiling water
3/4 tsp black sea salt
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tbsp gelatin
1 drop blue food coloring
1 drop green food coloring
Combine salt and sugar. Add 1/4 cup boiling water. Stir until dissolved. Sprinkle the gelatin on top and let sit for a minute. Add the rest of the boiling water and stir briskly until fully dissolved. Add food coloring, pour, and freeze.
Prediction: Salty but good
2.
1/2 cup boiling water

1 drop blue food coloring

Dissolve salt into water. Spoon 1-1/2 tsp of the mixture into ice cream. Add food coloring. Mix and refreeze.
Prediction: Tastes like salty ice cream

2 eggs
2 cups milk
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup heavy whipping cream
sea salt (be careful with this)
blue food coloring (looks better with it) (optional)
green food coloring (looks better with it) (optional)
-Separate the eggs into two good sized bowls.
-Beat the egg whites until stiff.
-Mix the egg yolks and sugar until thick.
-Slowly bring the milk to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
-Pour the hot milk into yolk/sugar mixture and mix well.
-Pour milk/yolk/sugar mixture back into pot and heat on medium until thicker to make a custard (DON'T LET IT BOIL! also, if you can't get it to a custard thickness,just get it as thick as you can :)).
-Pour custard in with beaten egg whites and mix well.
-Add sea salt (keep adding salt until it tastes salty sweet, but be careful not to add to much).
-Put mixture in fridge to cool.
once cool, add cream and vanilla .
(optional)add 12 drops of blue coloring, and 3 drops of green coloring.
-Freeze, following your ice cream maker’s instructions.
(for if you don't have an icecream maker) pour mixture into 1 or 2 metal cake pans, and set in freezer. let sit until edges become firm, then remove and mix. repeat until uniformily frozen.
